Most kids know how to write poems. Sometimes, though, it can be tough to get one started. Today we have a solution for the poet's variety of writer's block: have your kid use their favorite magazines, cut out words, and create a message all their own.
First, gather all the [more] kids magazines that are available to cut up. These are going to be your raw materials.
Second, have your kids skim through the magazines looking for words that will be inspirational and create a special message.
Third, have your kids cut out the words they've chosen and arrange them on a piece of construction paper.
Finally, when the words are arranged, glue them to the construction paper. Then give the poem to someone special.
A poem is a great way to tell someone that you love them. (This could work well for Valentine's or a birthday.) It takes is a little time, imagination and willingness to make this special gift, but it will definitly be appreciated.
